Donald Trump, no doubt, likening himself to Winston Churchill, is now calling himself a “wartime president”. Imagine how Donald Trump would have reacted in May 1940, when the British Expeditionary troops were stranded at Dunkirk begging for succor. He would have said, “Those guys are all losers. They wasted all that ammunition and now they want us to look bad dragging their sorry asses off that beach. Germany doesn’t have that many troops. They ‘will disappear’. I have sent plenty of reinforcements. General Goat should just do his job. And stop whining”. We know that this is what he would have said because he just said it when New York, Michigan and Washington State asked for more PPE. He said, “Something’s going on”. War-president Trump calls one of his generals “a snake” and another a “half-wit”. General President Trump says, while dozens of health care soldiers have died, “Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door?” Churchillian indeed.
